HMP FOSSE WAY

Burgess Associates were engaged on this new prison by a long term client that is a specialist Electrical installation contractor.

HMP Fosse way is on the site of the former Glen Parva Prison site and houses 1,715 inmates and is designed to rehabilitate. The facility includes learning opportunities such as a construction simulator. In total there are 24 workshops for prisoners.

Our role on this project was to assist our client with the weekly recording and issuing of progress events and variations. This included regular site visits to work with our clients team to maintain good record keeping and issue of required notifications. The service we provided enabled our client to recover amounts to cover the costs incurred for lost production on site.

WELLINGBOROUGH NEW PRISON

Burgess Associates were recommended to an Electrical labour only contractor undertaking installation works on 2 blocks at the New Wellingborough Prison.

The project was well on and reaching practical completion but the Electrical Contractor had a significant change account which was not agreed or in some cases was at budget status.

Burgess Associates worked closely with our client and the Principal MEP contractor to measure, value, submit and agree the change account and revised sub contract completion date.

As a result of this a fair and reasonable settlement was reached and our clients ongoing working relationship remains.
